Windmill Cottage is amazing value for money and the room was perfect with its cute decor and cozy log burner. The location is remote but ideal for a peaceful getaway with lovely views. The staff were super friendly and made us feel at home.
Hotel breakfast could use some improvement with more variety.

the settings were beautiful and the cottage itself was clean, cosy, and full of charming details. the owners were incredibly attentive and made sure our birthday celebration was special, with balloons, bunting, and even a pre-made fire waiting for us. the huge, squashy sofa was the perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring the nearby beaches and waterfalls. the private outside area was great, and the cottage had everything we needed. We were so comfortable that we ended up staying an extra night - we simply didn't want to leave!
Absolutely nothing! 😊.

The location of the cottage was remote yet convenient for exploring different parts of the area. the house itself was spotless and had all the necessary amenities for a self-catering holiday. It was great that pets were allowed, as our furry friend had a fantastic time exploring the surroundings.
The cottage was a bit chilly, but that's to be expected in Ireland. Make sure to bring slippers for added warmth.

I stayed at Windmill Cottage for a weekend getaway and absolutely loved it. The cottage had a beautiful decor and a homely feel to it. It was spotless and had everything I needed, from clean towels to coal for the fire. The host, Karen, was excellent - very kind, friendly, and helpful. The location was remote, with lovely views, and only a short drive away from Ardara. The family even went out of their way to bring us milk when we forgot to buy some. a perfect weekend and definitely on my "do again" list.
I do recommend this hotel.

The location of the cottage is ideal for exploring County Donegal and northern County Sligo. It provides a rural and peaceful environment, allowing guests to enjoy a quiet stay. the cottage offers a full kitchen, making it convenient to prepare their own meals and save on dining out expenses.
The cleanliness of the cottage could be improved, as there were some issues mentioned in the reviews regarding dirty towels, unclean kitchen items, and hairs on the pillows.

The location was remote but central, making it easy to explore different parts of the area. the house was spotless and had all the necessary amenities for a self-catering holiday. the fact that pets were allowed was a bonus, as our furry friends had a great time too.
There were a few small issues that could use improvement. the bathroom garbage was not emptied from the prior guest, and some of the bathroom fixtures were not working properly.
